About the event

Organised by University of Leeds and Leeds City Council, this two day event on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June will bring together stakeholders to identify key challenges and opportunities in a potential move to a hydrogen economy.

Day one will focus on research and innovation opportunities with day two focused on policy and implementation. Each day will feature talks from key stakeholders as well as dedicating significant amounts of time for detailed discussions in smaller breakout sessions and plenty of opportunities for networking.

The event will focus on a wide range of issues including:

  • Public perceptions and social impact of hydrogen
  • Policy, economics, global opportunities
  • Hydrogen production and CCS
  • Hydrogen for transport, including vehicle display
  • Hydrogen for heat
  • Industrial use of hydrogen
  • Whole energy system approach to hydrogen
