As future employees, customers and partners of tomorrow, we know that it is crucial to give young people a voice in the decisions we are making that will affect them. In line with Northern Gas Networks’ social mobility pledge commitments, the Council provides a unique opportunity for young people to learn more about the energy industry whilst developing a range of work-based skills.
The Young Innovators Council is the voice of young people at Northern Gas Networks, providing young people’s perspectives and Northern Gas Networks has ensured that their thoughts and opinions are put at the heart of the business’ decision making.
Through 2023 the council have given valuable insights and helped to develop major strategies on subjects from carbon reduction targets and recruitment through to customer experience and net zero education.
