To feedback what we’ve been working on since we last met and how your feedback is shaping our plans and direction around fuel poverty.
Specifically, we wanted to discuss the Fuel Poor Network Extension Scheme, how we can maximise what’s left of our current ECO funding period and raise awareness of what’s available as part of the next round of funding, the challenges around being off both the gas and electric grid and identify how we can maximise opportunities to support customers in fuel poverty as part of this.

Maximising current funding
You told us to focus on working with local authorities and housing associations and use partnership working to help vulnerable customers. In particular you said we need to focus on the messaging around how to apply for a new connection under FPNES as not many people are aware of how to apply for this if they come across a vulnerable customer that needs a gas connection
We will look at a targeted programme of engagement with these key stakeholder groups and focus specifically on promoting the benefits of the scheme and how to support customers to apply .
