The purpose of our annual stakeholder conference, is to seek feedback from key stakeholders on a range of topics to meaningfully shape our business activities in the coming years, looking at energy as a whole, rather than focusing solely on gas.
As the gas network responsible for delivering gas to 2.7 million homes and businesses in the North East, Northern Cumbria and much of Yorkshire, we are facing a number of huge challenges. The gas sector is undergoing a period of significant change. Energy prices remain high for customers, exacerbating the current cost of living crisis meaning that we need to work to keep bills affordable, maintain cost efficiency and provide support to the communities in which we operate and our customers who need it most.
In order to address our many challenges, it is crucial that we engage with key stakeholders such as yourself. The conference will comprise a series of interactive discussion sessions with senior personnel at Northern Gas Networks, on the topics you would most like to discuss, followed by an opportunity to ask questions directly, along with other industry representatives, in a dedicated Q&A session at the end of the conference.
