Future-proofing our workforce

We remain committed to graduate and apprentice schemes, giving young jobseekers a flying start while future-proofing our business.

This year, we recruited 26 apprentices and we’ve mentored 3,200, 11-13 year-olds in secondary schools over the last 4 years.

Building a sustainable and resilient network

Alongside apprenticeships and mentoring, we’ve worked with 462 local businesses, invested £112.2m into the local economy through business and supply chain, as well as training 150 manager in mental health and wellbeing with MIND.

Whilst sustainability is about protecting our planet, it’s also about responsible decision making, to ensure customers, colleagues, supply chain and our business can survive long term.

This is why we have embedded our role as an anchor institution into the culture of our business, acting as a positive force in communities and delivering sustainable social value for communities through our strategic and daily decisions.

Are we measuring up to your expectations? What can we do to keep your costs down?

We'll see you there!
